So last weekend I took part in the Appathon that was held by Tictail.
The reason for this Appathon was the release of their new App Store which launched last monday.
We got early access and were allowed to create any app we wanted to.
Me and my friend Vincent had a few beers and started idea-pooping. Loads of great ideas but no idea really clicked or it would require it to be an external app, we wanted to create a native app.
Saturday morning comes around and we sit down at a table where we meet Jennifer Krouse. She pitches an idea that she has in mind and wonder if we are interested in helping her develop it further. Thus our team was created.
We wanted to create an app that would make it possible for store owners to easily see their most valuable customers.
Showing a simple table of customers, their orders, amount of revenue and revenue per order.
This in itself we though would give good insights for the owner.
But we also wanted to make it possible for the owners to act on these insights, hence the option to create campaigns.
Those you wanted the campaign to go out to you could easily “check off” in the table, then write your message and include a coupon.
After that you could easily monitor the success of the campaign, in a similar table as the one mentioned before.
We’re almost done with the app, we just need to wait for a few things to get added to the API. Should be available for store-owners in a couple of weeks!
